With eyes like sponges I couldn't help but see, in a world that was flooded water up to my knees. The trees they seemed so much taller back then, shielding our eyes telling us to pretend. Naivety swallowed us, kept us in our rooms at night, for the fear of monsters lurking in the dark. Now that our perspectives changed, everything has rearranged.
